Career and Jobs

It’s not fair and it is unjust

It’s not fair, so this is your opportunity to get into the 5%.

The ball is in your court.

basket ball

Take 100 men and women at the start of their working careers and follow them for forty years until they reach retirement age, and here’s what you’ll find. According to the Social Security Administration:
• Only one will be wealthy

• Four will be financially secure

• Five will continue working, not because they want to but because they have to;

• Thirty-six will be dead;

• And fifty-four will be dead broke, dependent on their meager Social Security Pensions, relatives, friends, even charity for a minimum standard of living.

That’s five percent successful, ninety five percent unsuccessful.

It’s not fair.

Don’t you hate the fact that it’s all too easy to be one of the unfortunate ninety five percent who never make it? And yet you don’t want that to happen to YOU.

Is there anything worse than wanting to get ahead but because of ‘lack of knowledge’ you somehow can’t quite get started?

Don’t you hate it that through no fault of your own, your personal circumstances may be holding you back from earning the money that you really deserve?

It’s not fair and it’s unjust.

There has to be a better way. And there is.

This is your opportunity to be in the 5%

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=bqxzh28MVVI

One thing is for certain, my goal is to make YOU wealthy . . . if you are ready for it.

With this post and it’s remarkable opportunity, I’ll prove that to you and show you how to . . . either get started (finally) or how to dramatically improve your success and wealth by helping people save and earn on essential services.

You may be busy right now.  You may have been ‘burnt’ by somebody’s else’s offer of teaching you how to ‘get rich’ . . . . After all, the fact that you’re reading this material in the first place would suggest that you’ve tried several opportunities before, probably from a number of sources. I must stress to you . . . this is not a ‘Get-Rich-Quick Scheme’. I’m offering you the chance to be one of the select few people that can make a difference in your life and other people’s lives.

Two thirds of my life is undoubtedly just like yours, I live in the real world, not in fantasy or ‘la la’  land.

YOU know how easy it is to try an opportunity  and then let it go. You get more excited than a person who has just won ‘GOLD LOTTO’ only to find out later, after the adrenalin rush is over, that it’s a lot harder than the ‘Sales Pitch’ said it would be. This is just not fair.

Now I’m not saying for one minute that you can not make money from any other opportunity  . . . in fact many people do make serious money, however getting your hands on any money making tools is one thing . . .teaching you, holding your hand every step of the way is another.
From the day you become an Independent Marketing Rep, to the day you reach Senior Vice President  . . . my team and I are there to support you and mentor you throughout the entire process, providing you with our expertise, our time, our knowledge to help you create a residual wealth generating  business !

You may be tempted to delete this out unread. But a wise person investigates what fools take for granted.

If the thought of getting wealthy doesn’t fit within your paradigms or even offends you, it might be a good idea to delete this information straight in the trash folder and retreat to your safety zone, watch your life pass by as you wait for that big superannuation pay-out (minus all the taxes of course) and become one of the 95% of people who are unsuccessful.

But, if you truly are sick and tired of flogging yourself closer and closer to an early grave, in your current business, or worse still in service to someone who pay’s you a pittance for your blood, sweat and tears, or you simply want to create wealth and buy back your life, then welcome to what I promise will be one of the most truthful, blunt, practical and insightful opportunity to what it takes to become wealthy and to ‘Retire Sooner’!

The ball is in your court – if you are ready for a change or to make a difference  in your life or someone else’s click below to get started.

How to overcome negative vibes among your staff?

If you are a Supervisor or Manager this article may prove helpful.

Overcoming ‘negative vibes’ among your staff: 10 tips

in HUMAN RESOURCES,OFFICE MANAGEMENT,VIDEOS

Every HR pro and manager has to deal with a certain amount of pessimistic, hostile or uncooperative behavior at times. It’s just part of the workplace. But a hard-core negative attitude that starts with just one employee can quickly infect an entire department (or sometimes a whole company) if you don’t rein it in quickly. The ugly result: A workplace that’s rife with backstabbing, gossiping and rebellious employees. Cal Butera, the editor of Business Management Daily’s Office Manager Today and Manager’s Legal Bulletinnewsletters, provides the top 10 tips for confronting employees whose negative behavior has begun to affect co-workers and the company.

1. Don’t get drawn into the employees’ negative mind-set. Listen to their points, but don’t temper your own realistic optimism.

2. Avoid getting into an argument. Negative people thrive on the negative energy of arguments. Point out areas of agreement when possible in order to build rapport. Keep your cool.

3. Set standards. Spell out the consequences of negative behavior, such as decreased morale. Base them on behavior, not attitude. For example, you may not be able to change the fact that an employee doesn’t like a certain company policy. But you can discipline employees if they don’t follow the policy or are insubordinate in gossiping about it.

4. Ask questions. Force the employee to be specific about what is creating his or her negative thoughts and actions.

5. Try role-playing. Ask the employee to put himself in your shoes and pretend he has been asked to resolve the problem. That way, you will have the employee contribute his ideas for the best possible solutions. Involving the employee may also lead to more positive feelings about the solution or outcome since he or she had a hand in creating it.

6. Listen carefully. Use active listening to ensure that you’re understanding the employee correctly.

7. Don’t lower your expectations of the employee. A negative attitude doesn’t necessarily mean a poor performer.

8. Empower employees. Stop the “victim” mentality from forming. Allow employees to take responsibility for “good” events, so they can make them happen again, and for the “bad” events, so they have the power to change them in the future.

9. Solicit feedback. Always ask for employees’ opinions before making major decisions that will affect them. The more you listen to employees, and take an active interest in their concerns, the less likely they will be to complain to each other.

10. Hire right. Identify negative people before they’re hired. During the interview, listen for feelings that “life isn’t fair” in response to questions like: Have you ever felt you’ve been treated unfairly in the past? What were your chief concerns about management in your previous jobs? and What would you have changed if you were the manager at your last job?

Along with those 10 tips, here are four things you should NEVER do in your effort to stop negativity from wrecking your workplace:

1. Don’t shower negativists with a lot of attention. You’re only rewarding bad behavior.

2. Don’t stop asking them to pitch in and do tasks outside their normal job descriptions. Otherwise, you’re also punishing positive (or less vocal) employees.

3. Don’t correct them less often in order to avoid dealing with the attitude. Employees can’t be expected to change for the better if they’re not asked to.

4. Don’t allow employees to get bored or complacent. A negative attitude develops easily when there’s “nothing to look forward to.”

Are you underestimating your ability to cope?

people talking

A lot of us suffer from phobias – we are afraid the job or the studies will not go well, people will laugh at us, people will talk about us, afraid to speak in public, afraid we will fail, afraid of all sorts of things etc…. Others have FOMO – fear of missing out. They want to be always special and in everything. Once that does not happen depression steps in.

Fomo1

There is no need to be fearful. As the saying goes garbage in garbage out. The more focus and energy you put into being afraid is the more you will be afraid.

special

Do not underestimate your ability to cope with these fears.  You are special and always will be. It is your destiny. You have the ability to cope so change your focus and re-position your energy.

Having a planB will help your phobia of not having enough.  Take a look and let’s talk.

How to make a New Beginning

Are you finding it hard to make  a New Beginning in 2014 ?

New beginning2

If you are finding it hard to make  a New Beginning or even to make your New Year’s resolution, here are some questions to help you get started. Sit in a quiet place with pen and paper and truly focus on these questions:

  1. What changed during the year that affected you and how are you going to use this to help you?
  2. What did you do well, or where did you exceed your expectations, and where can you apply more of this?
  3. In what areas did you fall short, and what steps can you take to overcome this shortfall?
  4. What things you learnt about yourself or those around you that you didn’t know before, and how can you use this to your advantage?
  5. What areas of your life do you think really need transforming?
  6. Are there projects you need to continue to focus on?
  7. What behaviors do you need to change that did not contribute to your success?
  8. Who do you need to position yourself with  to move you forward?
  9. What is it that you really want to do, but keep putting off?
  10.  Are there any other changes you need to make that will carry you through 2014?

If you are honest with yourself you would recognize that you have great potential which will only reveal itself if you take action.

Do you you need help? Click the  Let’s Talk  button to the right and let me know when is the best time to call you.

If you have already completed your resolution you may want to consider a plan b.

How to do what you think you cannot do

Pulling back the time

You cannot pull back the time. December 31 2013 is here and January 1, 2014 will quickly unveil itself.

Forget about your manager, supervisor , boss or friend being responsible for motivating you.  No one can make you do anything unless you want to. You have to be your own personal motivator. Here are 4 ways to  do what you think you cannot do in  the New Year:

1. Be specific and clear about what you want or your goals. The more vivid they are the more they will act as a magnet for your vision. According to Zig Ziglar – “If you want to reach a goal, you must ‘see the reaching’ in your own mind before you actually arrive at your goal.”

2. Write down your short and long term goals – look at each obstacle that will prevent you from getting there and develop plans to get around them. Take a hint from Zig Ziglar again –  “When obstacles arise, you change your direction to reach your goal; you do not change your decision to get there.”

3. Have a burning desire for what you want. How bad do you want this thing? Think of what you have to do to get there. How you would feel when you get there and is it really worth it?

4. Have unshakeable confidence in yourself. Know that you have what it takes to get you to where you want to be or what you want to get. You can only get this confidence from experience. Eleanor Roosevelt  said: “We gain strength, and courage, and confidence by each experience in which we really stop to look fear in the face…we must do that which we think we cannot.

You know you can do better – you know you deserve the best. What are you waiting on?

No one said you cannot have a PlanB. Take a look and contact me.

Are you benefiting from working late?

Leaving Office on time

Someone forwarded the above to me and it got me wondering – are there benefits to working late?

Has the person who wrote this script ever worked in an office?

Surely if you were to interview people who work late they will provide some reasons and benefits why they work late, e.g – a project to complete, a deadline to meet and the rewards/bonuses they receive quarterly or yearly. You may ask- Why can’t these tasks be completed during the normal working hours? Should we stop helping our coworkers on the job or refuse to attend meetings because we have our share of work to complete because  these things contribute to working late.  Are the working hours structured to accommodate all the tasks we are given? You hear so many stories where in some companies, people are performing tasks that should be completed by two persons, and you know this is true because if they leave, the company divides the job functions into two positions.

I recall years ago in one of my previous jobs my coworker and I left office around 1.45 am. We were trying to balance and complete financial reports for the company. Why did we do this? Surely we  never thought of ourselves as being incompetent. We wanted to do a good job, make sure everything was perfect. We agreed to a deadline and we wanted to deliver. We were of the view that if you say you are going to do something you need to do it.

Whether you are working for someone or working for yourself there will be a time when you have to work late and you will see the benefits – you delivered a report on time, or before time despite your various challenges, a client is happy because you were able to complete his application on time and above all you met your targets. You feel good about yourself.

The flip side is whether working late is a norm for you – this is when you have to really sit down and review your position. Is this making sense? Where am I now? Where do I want to be? When do I want to get there? Will this get me there? What sacrifices do I have to make to get there? Can I do better?

At the end of it all the decision is yours to make – no one can make you work late or tell you what is important to you, however you may want to bear the following in mind.

love your job

Hunger for respect, control, freedom and financial rewards

Every where I turn there is a hunger for respect, control, freedom and financial rewards.

respect

On the job people talk about not being respected by their peers and their managers or supervisors. It is a fact some people on the job and even in various organizations really do not respect you and people look at various things – your education, how you dress, your family background,  what type of car you drive, where you live and even who you hang out with.  So we end of with this hunger for respect and some people head for entrepreneurship thinking that this would solve their problem.  For some when they get there it is an eye opener because there is still the hunger for respect.

entrepreneur

As an entrepreneur you must have respect for yourself, have a mindset to succeed and develop your own personal  brand.  Who are you, where are you now, where do you want to go and what do you need to do to get there? These are some questions you need to focus on if you are to survive as an entrepreneur.  Look around you all the successful entrepreneurs have developed their own personal brand, some examples are  Tony Robbins, Melani  Leshinsky, Robert Kiyosaki, Marilyn M Lynch and Mary Ellen Trevino. This has also given them more control of their lives.

We all want to have control, we want to be in control of our time, where we go, when we take vacation. This can only be possible if you are an entrepreneur. When you work for someone they are in control of your time. They dictate what you do with your time every day and even weekends and when you can go on vacation. Sometimes they also dictate  who you can hang with. Entrepreneurs have control of their lives and the freedom to do  what we want.

freedom

Why do we want freedom?  Everyone wants freedom. We want to do what we want when we want. We do not want anyone to tell us what to do. Entrepreneurs have this yearning when they are in a job, they want freedom to express themselves, freedom to be there for there family when ever they need to, to take a vacation when they want to, to purchase whatever they need without thinking twice because they can enjoy their financial rewards. You can have  financial rewards working for someone but to what extent and at what cost?

financial rewards

We are all striving for financial rewards to be able to go to the grocery and not  be scared that we do not have enough cash or the debit or credit card would come back as declined. We want to have enough to take care of our families – pay medical bills, education fees and have a safe and good shelter for them. We want to be able to take our family to a good restaurant or have a great vacation. Financial rewards do all this and more but we must decide at what cost. Can you have financial freedom by working for someone else or for yourself? You decide. Take a look at these 4 reasons to quit your job:

I wish I knew – on success and happiness

I have grown to realize that we all breathe the same air. In some way we are connected, think of someone and (coincidence as we say) they appear or they may call you on the phone, and we say – I was just thinking about you or you just cross my mind. Look at someone without them looking at you and all of a sudden they turn and look at you, or sometimes you feel someone looking at you and when you turn they are truly looking at you. I wish I knew more about the awesome presence and all the mysteries of God or our creator, and then I would have taught my kids to be more aware of these mysteries.

life lessons1

We all have the potential to be successful and happy; however success and happiness mean different things to different people. It is really how we look at things or how we respond when things happen to us. Just as we cannot make anyone do anything, no one can make us do anything. We are the ones who have the power to say yea or nay. No one but our self is keeping us back from being successful and happy. There is nobody to blame for anything but yourself.

success and happines

Our experiences are what determine who we are, each one provides a lesson to be learnt, and however sometimes we tend to curse these experiences or focus on the negative instead of looking to see what lessons we are supposed to learn from them. This can be so challenging when you are really down to nothing or as someone puts it when you are  at the bottom of the barrel. I really wish I knew this, as it takes courage, determination and faith to move on and our kids need to know this. They need to know when something happens it is not the end all or the be all. They need to know that God/creator/divine whatever name you select does not want to harm us, just to protect us and prepare us for something better, but we must understand this. It is only when we understand this that we would see the good that has been prepared for us.

life lessons2

I wish I knew that God guides us in a really sullen way and the only way to be aware of his guidance is to be still. This would have been a great practice for my kids. Each day you must take time and empty your thoughts and ask for guidance or as the various spiritual teachers say ‘be still and know that I am’.  As I continue to experience this stillness I have grown  to be so much more patient and accommodating and at peace.

DSC00202

I really wish I knew the experience of being in the moment – of knowing that right here, right now I can be happy. Not worrying about anything but having a deep knowing that everything is being taken care of, that I have everything I need. I have wisdom, peace, love, joy, abundance etc. This is what I wish I had taught my kids to know, just know that all is well, without doubt, fear or worry.
